qwik510
So my 77 King Cab needs a new exhaust system. I'm trying to keep the truck stock. I have a brand new front pipe that runs from the exhaust manifold back to the front of the muffler. I have been looking for a stock muffler and tail pipe but not having any luck. Any recommendations for a muffler that will fit in place of the original? I'm sure the exhaust shop can bend up a new tail pipe. Pic for attention. Thanks Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
few years ago I tried the Walker exhaust site and had some 1.75 inch mufflers quiet type I wish I got a stock muffler now on my daily Quote Link to comment
red13
i uprgaded my exhaust to 2" i used the stock 2 into 1 and after that had the 2" pipe. I think this is the same as the msa kits for the Zs and will work http://www.autozone.com/exhaust/performance-exhaust-muffler/walker-exhaust-universal-installer-turbo-muffler/285242_0_0/ Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
All you need is something that will fit. It's a truck so there should be lots of room. If you find one, but inches too long, just shorten your pipe. Oval or round, don't matter. The one on my 620 I pulled out of a Midas dumpster. Brand new but they screwed up the install and chucked it. Quote Link to comment

We had just pulled it out of the barn. Quote Link to comment

orangie
If you want quiet, bigger is better, as in muffler size not pipe diameter. Quote Link to comment
DanielC
I replaced my 521 exhaust system. See this thread. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/61167-how-i-replaced-a-521-exhaust-system/?hl=exhaust Quote Link to comment
qwik510
I reokaced my 521 exhaust system. See this thread. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/61167-how-i-replaced-a-521-exhaust-system/?hl=exhaust Nice exhaust build. I'm going to measure the stock muffler and then check out the walker website. I think I will order a muffler and take it to the exhaust shop. Let them mount it all and make me a new tail pipe. Thanks for the info. David Quote Link to comment
