The good, it's a 79 620, L20, 4 speed, ball joints, disc brakes already, lots of small dents, surface rust, don't have to worry about door dings when parked. Runs great, freshly rebuilt Weber. Everything works on it. Hubby is very happy now. Going to leave it pretty ratty looking and just drive it.

The bad, needs new seats and carpet, has a Fram oil filter on it

Rick, what does your emblem say? DATSUN by nissan?

Yes it says Datsun by nissan

This was a '79 emblem addition on most Datsuns to introduce the Nissan name to buyers and get everyone prepared for the up coming removal of the Datsun name and changeover to Nissan. In '82, the Datsun 210 and the A10 were retired and the Nissan Sentra and Stanza replaced them. These were the first non Datsuns. The Datsun 720, the Datsun 280zx and the Datsun Maxima continued through '82 and '83 with a blend of Datsun and Nissan emblems. (the new 300zx retained small Datsun badges through September '85 on the '86 model year cars. A small nod of a tribute to the famous Z car that had made Datsun a household name) This didn't happen overnight, taking about seven and a half years and the Datsun and Nissan emblems were last used together in January '86 built Maximas, and the sad end of an era in automotive history. But good for us, as the proud Datsun name wasn't tarnished by the Nissan debacle of the 90s.

The other is for my wife's use. Got rotten carpet and passenger seat with rat included, removed, along with drivers sear. Got frontier seats to put in. Checked truck out, floorboards are great small amount of surface rust. The truck is mechanically sound and put my wheels on. Wife will take care of pictures when she gets back. Lots of surface rust on the body, some scraping and primer and call it good.

Yes 521's are ergonomically incorrect for me, ( too fucking fat), said that so you wouldn't have to.
