Just want to give a huge thanks to all the locos and non locos that showed up and made it an epic event.Thanks Antony for staying behind and locking up for us. Glad to finally also put faces to all the Ratsun names, it was really cool meeting you all. Best believe this has turned into a yearly event. Awesome People and Awesome cars = a fucken great time!!!! EastBay521 Posted August 31, 2015 Report Share Posted August 31, 2015 And id like to thank every one who assisted in getting my truck runnin again, if you offered knowledge, parts, labor, tools or just stood around and kept me company thank you. we averaged 70-80mph the whole way including having it maxed out for a few stretches.It ran just as good home as it did on the way up. We had two groups delayed by car trouble, we didn't get there til 10:30 pm and the cali boys finally showed up at 5:30 am. There was a head gasket replaced and a massive campfire. Jester Posted August 31, 2015 Report Share Posted August 31, 2015 I only got a couple pics of the Oregon group in route. A few of sitting on the side of the road just outside of Cottage Grove. The Canby truck was having a hell of a time on the hills. It kept running out of fuel. The initial thought was a plugged fuel line. Come to find out the fuel pump went south ahead of us. Al drove clear back to Cottage Grove to find out the Napa store had been closed down. Luckily, he came back with an electric fuel pump that was perfect. The rest of the group was up the road waiting for us. We entertained ourselves pretty well. :rofl: Then we hit Weed and the headlight switch took a shit too. Hogie pulled the shaft completely out of the switch body. The bent spring inside didn't help. I found a ball point pen in my console that donated a spring to get us going again. RATSUN BABY!!! :thumbup: After 10 hours on the road we rolled into camp. Felt good to finally be there. It was great to see meet everyone. I really was NOT a fan of the idea of a fire. It WAS nice though. It brought the two groups together for a night of jokes, stories and laughter. Thanks everyone. Random shots around camp. Sorry, mostly cars/trucks. I would really appreciate it if everyone who took pictures (especially you Oregon Datslocos) would go ahead and post your pictures,videos of this event on the Datslocos Oregon Facebook page, so those of us that couldn't make it can see them. Thanks! By the way,just a little note here about our upcoming Datslocos Oregon meet in the north region. We will be having a potluck style BBQ at Shawn Drawdy's place in Hubbard, Oregon (it's right off 99e,between Woodburn & Canby.) I will be posting about this on our thread,& the Facebook page.
