the510keeper
Hired a helper on this one, while I can't seem to get anything in the shop done while working in the Bay area. But my helper is MIA, so Im back at it, took a few days off, to make some more progress. feeling pretty good. Once welding was finished, and possibly from blasting inside out the quarters had a bit of oil caning, so I had to shrink the inside panel. Then float the who;e panel. Looks like a lot of filler but it's simply a thin coat so I wont have to use 20 coats of filler primer. 1 Quote Link to comment

the510keeper
Back to the engine bay, got a new welder, what a difference. finished the fucked up holes for the hinges (had some odd standard size bolts on the left hinge). finished all the bumper bracket welded nuts, most the time these don't break off. Good fix is the 17 mm zx top hat strut nut. Opening up the radiator opening for more air flow hammer time and dolly 4 Quote Link to comment

S30Jay
Just like new. When I used to do collision repair I would use primer over bodywork, then block it and paint it. Sealer was used for areas where I broke through the primer while sanding, or if I was painting over an unknown type of finish to keep the paint I spray from reacting with it. Curious why you chose to sealer that trunk lid vs. Priming it? 1 Quote Link to comment
