Cosmonaut Posted July 11, 2016 Report Share Posted July 11, 2016 Not to burst anyone's bubble, but take a close look at the black out portion of the phone number..the paper is wrapped around a circular pole, but the black out is rectangular and not curved as the rest of the paper sign....therefore it is blacked out only as it has been posted as a mimi. It is not blacked out on the original sign that had been illegally stapled to government property (aka, the telephone pole). Back to your regular programming. 1 Link to comment

Utilities are regulated monopolies, governed in part by the state, but private none the less. It is illegal to post, but who gives a fuck. Also, it's possible the person who made the sign made the box curved in just the right way so as to look like a perfect rectangle in a photo from just that spot. Could be... 1 Link to comment

It could be that someone took a picture of the funny sign, then put it in paint or photoshop and blocked out the number so they didn't get sued by some loser without friends as it was probably a joke prank.
