BarryA
Starting to build a custom dash panel, and will need to match an aftermarket gauge to the stock in-tank fuel level sender. VDO and other gauge companies usually have more than one ohm range gauge available, but often don't specify which gauge works with which manufacturer's senders - if the gauge and sender don't match, the gauge won't read the tank level accurately. ggzilla
35 ohms half full (per Nissan Factory Service Manual) We measured some various Datsun senders and came up with this: * 12 ohms fully up * 88 ohms fully down Quote Link to comment
Guest DatsuNoob
Couldnt a guy just use any, so long as the sender in the tank or fuel cell matches the ohm reading on the fuel gage. For example, chev sender and chev autometer gage? Why not just swap a sender and buy the matching gage? It doent have to be nissan, just has to be semi accurate. Quote Link to comment
