No, or significantly less, twisting of the stud when tightening the nut vs a head bolt, and ARP being arguably a stronger product than stock bolts. 2 Quote Link to comment

If a small bit of over spray happened to get in there, I don't see any cause for harm. I’ve generally left that bare metal as well. Oil/gas and heat will all get in there when tankers trailer hits a bump. 3 Quote Link to comment
