slodat Posted September 20, 2008 Report Share Posted September 20, 2008 The bell housing will bolt up to any L series - L16, L18, L20b, L24, L26, L28. It is bigger than the stock 521 4 speed and may require transmission tunnel modifications to fit. The drive shaft yoke is specific to the T5 and will need to be welded to the stock driveshaft. It is a longer transmission than the stock 521 and will require modification/relocation to the transmission crossmember. Quote Link to comment

The tranny on the left is a FS5W71B and is over 5" longer than your stock one. The BW on the right is slightly longer again! Totally over kill for the tiny L16.
