Ah, well just say so!

 

Old Datsun 510s are designed around 13" rims and tires. This gives them a harmonious esthetic appeal. In other words they just 'look right'. Generally you can get away with a 14" possibly a 15" rim if the tire size remains around 22-24 inches diameter which agrees with the wheel arch.

 

Cars today run much larger rims, I get that and to you they don't seem odd. To me they are somewhat odd but they still agree with the newer cars they are on. Putting them on older Datsuns, seems kind of odd looking to me is all.
