Kalani
might have to take em out and torch em till they can move than spray oil after I would but I cant even bust those 3 lil nuts that holds the bracket on the other side. i dont wanna have to torch it still attached to the car. hopefully theyll budge with more oil soakage Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
you wont get them un done with out breaking them off....with out heat Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
try to find a pen tip torch, kinda like a dab torch to centralize the heat 1 Quote Link to comment
Kalani
try to find a pen tip torch, kinda like a dab torch to centralize the heat how about just torching the dowl thing that the wipers mount to? I feel like thats the only thing that needs to break free 1 Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
If you are just trying to get mounting nuts off.... You can heat nut with real torch if use a large fender washer with a hole just bigger than the nut and heat the living shit out of it real quick.. You could also make a shield that is larger by just drilling a hole into a piece of sheet metal.. DON"T USE TO THIN OF METAL.!! it will burn right through and torch the paint fast. 3 Quote Link to comment

TENDRIL
but you have to do them both at the same time if they are both frozen unless you take the entire linkage out 1 Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
annnnnnnd if you want to take the linkages out i suggest torching the nuts 1 Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
There is no way you're going to be able to heat ,, those aluminum pivots hot enough and cool with penatrating oil or ( just oil )over and over,, in the car.. That shiz is usually locked in a molecular bond only the devil hisself could create. i did them in my 510 and just did them in my 411 proof 4 Quote Link to comment
Kalani
thanks for the tips yo! the torch with a heat shield is a great idea. Ill probably torch the nuts off then...shit. Thanks for the oic bananahamuck, helps a lot! you too ray!  1 Quote Link to comment

I dont wanna break em off because im pretty sure the 3 bolts are riveted or some shit to the bracket. Quote Link to comment
jrock4224
mine too ... i would loosen a quarter turn then go back and forth a little to clean the threads and slowlythey cam off .. when i started they felt like they would snap but they got better..... the farther i got them off ... 1 Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
They go through/ held into the bracket like lug bolts,, you could break them off then punch them out and JB weld some tiny stainless bolts into the back side 2 Quote Link to comment
