Can you help me identify this plane that I saw....I saw it over Parker, AZ flying low (relatively) and it looked like a C-17, BUT I think that it had propellers.  I didn't hear it as my windows were up.

I looked at Wiki, under current US planes and didn't see anything that fit the description.

Is there such a plane?

LOL! I've been there. Once, I was driving out of Big Bend National Park (around 2001), and what I thought may have been a B-1 Lancer crossed in front of me. It was so low it looked like it came out of the ground. So close I could have thrown a grapefruit at it and hit it. It was gone before I could even consider pulling over. One of my kids caught the dark flash across the windshield, and he corroborated that it was long, thin, and loud. It was heading east toward Laughlin AFB or Randolph AFB. Today, my son lives near Cape Canaveral and Patrick Space Force Base.

Those unexpected buzz jobs trump all air show stuff.

Convair B-36 Peacemaker: The World's Biggest Bomber

Big fan of the B36 - built the model as a child (maybe still have it).

Three stories:

1) Nuclear powered design, flew with lead bulkhead and mock reactor.  What if it crashed?  "Those areas would be uninhabitable."

2) Felt a shudder, went back to base, landed, discovered tail fell off.

3) I swear I was at an aviation museum and they had one hanging from the ceiling of the hanger.  I remember spending a summer at NASA Lewis curing grad school and Bob Kielb told me about it.  I believe it was the AF Museum.  I saw it.  I swear.  Then returned years later and they claimed it never happened.  Still haunts me to this day.
