Jesse C.
Story? Post war Switzerland. An individual built himself his own B-17 from crashed and interned planes. This was done post war of course, and it became a local attraction that he would charge folks to come and look at it. The Swiss Air Force operated the type, along with B-24, P-51 and also some captured German machines. He just scrounged around and used what he found, and if he could not find it, he made it himself! I do not know what eventually became of it. 3 Quote Link to comment

MarkB.
Awesome! A strike configured USAF F-4D over U.S.S. New Jersey during one of her two brief deployments for fire support. That's a rare picture for sure.. 1 Quote Link to comment
KiloTango1200
B-29 "Doc" now has a ticket to fly!!! My buddies Phil and Mat had a major hand in returning "Doc" to flying condition. As a result they were given one of "Doc's" original "Supercharged, Wright R3350 radial engines", complete with engine stand. Historic restoration to take to air shows. [/url 4 Quote Link to comment
