England also has a high homeless population amongst first tier nations. But anyway, poverty is just not because poor health care, the current liberal magic wand, but also because of lack of education and common decency. Yes, I said it, decency.

If liberal engineering really did work, and it has not, people should be living in a virtual utopia. Free housing, healthcare, money to spend, phones and so on. What do we have? A bunch of fat lazy Americans that have become dependent on a systems that has coddled them. Honestly, why should they work when the handouts to maintain their shitty, dare I say, glorified existence is guaranteed?

Common decency and the drive to do better should have eradicated this, but no, that is not the attitude the left wants to foster. Keep them chained up to the social welfare machine to keep their seats in government. Import and Breed new voters! That is the Liberal way!

All those public housing buildings should be well kept and inviting, yet the breed the worst in humanity. Like caged rats that just sit around are fed regularly, the eventually start to eat themselves.

Thanks Liberal Engineering!

I hear you Jesse, but I never said anything so stupid as poverty is just because of poor health care. My words "Could it be there's a correlation between homelessness and access to healthcare?" For instance, if someone has a debilitating mental illness and can't navigate the system, someone suffering from PTSD and the VA puts them on a waiting list, someone self employed is severely injured or has an illness and can't work, an upwardly mobile college graduate who was prescribed opioids for pain from playing football becomes addicted and it spins out of control, not to mention all the thousands of mentally ill people who wind up in prison. Now, could it be there's a correlation between homelessness and access to healthcare?

BTW socialism as a counterbalance to capitalism has been making urban living more practical and affordable in this country since it's begining. Adam Smith published "An Inquiry in the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations" in 1776 right after the Declaration of Independence. Smith, along with our nation’s founders decided in their objective wisdom, rather than a zero sum competition between socialism and capitalism, they would mix elements of both Yin and Yang economies. Since then, we've struggled to balance meritocracy and social egalitarianism. Some would even say this struggle brought about our left right two party system.

Great rant, but I wouldn't be so cavalier about judging the failed utopia of "Liberal Engineering!" Republican Teddy Roosevelt brought 44 antitrust suits, broke up the Northern Securities Company, the largest railroad monopoly, and Standard Oil, the largest oil and refinery company. He passed the Pure Food and Drug Act, and was our country's greatest environmental conservationist of all time, established the United States Forest Service, created five National Parks, 18 U.S. National Monuments, and 150 National Forests. He also investigated and prosecuted corrupt  federal agents who had cheated native American tribes out of land parcels.

In the late 19th early 20th century following the industrial revolution, this nation experienced a very real dystopia with an imbalance of our economic Yin and Yang. Capitalism dominated our political system and controlled our democracy, it created ungodly inhuman working conditions, held labor wages artificially low, and drove all the wealth to the fat master class at the top. Despair was so heavy, prohibition was passed because alcoholism was rampant, families were falling apart, and industry's efficiency was being effected. In the 1928 election, Rep. Herbert Hoover ran on an isolationist pro business government deregulation platform, and in March 1929, he took office. October 29, 1929, the stock market was bloated with unbacked complex investment instruments and the whole fucking thing came tumbling down. After 10 years of depression, and and a horrific 2nd world war, it was a Dem, FDR's globalist thinking and socialist economic reforms that reshaped this country and helped bring about the greatest prosperity the world has ever known.

We've got to stop this left right blaming BS. Might be entertaining but it's getting us nowhere real damn fast. It takes both ores in the water to get this country anywhere. I think all of us want this country to work for WE THE PEOPLE.  Where's that balance?

I didn't know you right wingers were such sensitive snowflakes;

Mestizo (/mɛˈstiz/;[1] Peninsular Spanish[mesˈtiθo]Latin American Spanish[mesˈtiso]) is a term traditionally used in Spain, the Philippines, parts of Central America (especially in Belize) and Latin America which originally meant a person of combined European and Amerindian or Pacific Islander descent, regardless of where the person was born. The term was used as an ethnic/racial category in the casta system that was in use during the Spanish Empire's control of their American colonies. Nowadays though, particularly in Latin America, Mestizo has become more of a cultural term, with culturally mainstream Latin Americans regarded or termed as Mestizos regardless of their actual ancestry, and with the term "Indian" being reserved exclusively for people who have maintained a separate indigenous ethnic identity, language, tribal affiliation, etc. Consequently, today, the vast majority of Spanish speaking Latin Americans are regarded as Mestizos, although because of this newer, culturally based definition, this term cannot be taken as indicative of actual ancestry.

Please enlighten me on my supposed racism or...

....go hide in your safe space.

Aren't you right wingers the same people these days who have your collective panties in a bunch about your language allegedly being censored by the politically correct left?

Yup. But who knows. Perhaps trump spent more time in the Wharton library that the White House. Perhaps he was an excellent student. I don't know. But I do know it would be very unlikely for a school to not graduate the son of a weathy potential donor like Trump. It is what it is, and it is nothing new. Not Trumps fault. But I don't get impressed by his degree.

Since you are experiencing cognitive dissonance over your right wing political views I feel that it is best I make an amends to you;

I am truly sorry that you will never be able to be a member in a white supremacist organization because of your Latino heritage.

Life is so unfair for so many people and not being able to be a nazi is probably a nadir in your life.

It's okay though, you can still be a productive member of society...

And by the way I was calling out the heritage of MEXICAN NAZIS because the concept is truly ridiculous.

But everything is all about you right?

Didn't Trumpcheeto have a now defunct Trump university that ripped off tons of money from students who thought they were going to get inside knowledge about investing in real estate?

How old is this news ? something new on Trump would be better.Maybe stick to the Russia thing.And as far as those suckers go that thought they would magically become rich while spending money on a real estate class,they weren't smart enough to pull it off to begin with.I'm not defending or condoning Trump U but come on.That's as bad as buying into Tony Robbins and his BS.

I'm thinking you were the one that went "race card" It might have had something to do with "mexicans can't join the KKK" or something to that affect.Do you not think before hitting post ?

John, nope. I'm smarter than spending money on something I can read about plus real estate is not my thing. Plus I knew this university or whatever you call was a rip off. Since u asked me a question, I'm going to ask you some questions. Are u okay with Trumpcheeto ripping off almost 4,000 people? Are you aware that this happened? Are you also aware that he had to pay back 25 million dollars.
