This just showed up at the shop....from Washington.......for me to put back on the road for a dude in SoCal... I know this car......who's was it and what happened?? I haven't even opened the hood yet..... OK so I bought this car with the intentions of getting it back on the road. I sold it to hooligan after I did absolutely nothing to it. He could not get it running to save his life and I don't know why. I bought it from a guy who got it from the original owner, little old lady that bought in new in wyoming in 73 and brought it to Washington in 85. Car died in I want to say 87 or maybe 92 and just sat until I got it. Has an L18 and a 4 speed. .....so it hasn't run since about 92?? It was something like that. The guy I bought it from pulled the valve cover off and oiled the cam and timing chain, then he used a brake evacuator on the fuel system, then he found out the starter was bad. Thats when I bought it. Hooligan put on a new carb and an ei dizzy and did a bunch of other stuff and could never get it to run. Much like my ex it had a couple dead holes. Thx man......I do what's in my power...... Did you try trans fluid in cyls. to loosen up ! maybe rust is the culprit . He said he made new motor mounts for a L20 in his 521 So oil pan wouldnt hit. I said, Use a 521 oil pan done. Then he said He dropped the oil pump and turned it 180 to line up the rotor to get it running. I said , just move the spark plug wires 180 degress. But like you said he works on cars. Shit even I done it. Built my 1st motor and it didnt spin around either. I ripped the head off checking out everything. then find out I had a flywheel bolt sticking out far enough to hit the engine tand plate in back. that why it locked up.Crap Waisted a nissan head gasket just checking we all make simple mistakes sometimes. If this car was towed home then I would most likely loosen the crank bolt and cam sprocket and pop the head and front cover off and least put a new tensioner in there and slack side guide in there. maybe pull the oil pump 1st in case the spindal jammed up for soem never heard before reason 2 Quote Link to comment

Goals for this week.......let me know if all this is possible....... -Finish diagnosing 610...... -Finish putting 2.2 together to drop into my car.... -Complete rebuild of Kalani's engine.... -Complete front suspension rebuild on Kalani's Dime..... -Rip engine out of Loogie because I need the clutch and flywheel for 2.2...... -Put my car together and have on the road by Monday..... -Get Kalani's engine and suspension in......minor mechanics and cosmetics to get it running by Dec. 1........... :w00t: Anyone got some NZT-48???? 3 Quote Link to comment
