Reason I ask is because I need to do body rust repair work as well to my 69 510 and I want to buy a good model Miller mig welding machine to get the job done like yours.. what model would you consider? I am using the Miller 135xp on all the sheetmetal, great welder! have been using it for many years, whatever welder you go with make sure your run it with gas without it makes a mess, Goodluck! 1 Quote Link to comment

Georges510 Posted December 9, 2014 Author Report Share Posted December 9, 2014 Man my poor Datsun is still chilling,,,, have to many other builds going on right now, big money pits,,,. but need to get them done and sold....So the Datsun waits again since I do want to keep it to mob around town when done...=) here are a couple of my other ongoing projects, 1966 El,camino, 1960 Karmann Ghia, 1963 Chevy II, and my 1957 Belair. 1966 Elcamino almost ready for final primer then paint. 1960 Karmann Ghia all original matching numbers going to stay patina but working on all the suspension and brakes right now to make it road worthy to sale. 1963 Chevy II I have owned this car for nearly 20 years just started working on it going all out, pro-touring, Thank God I only work on this car on Sundays day 8 on it now,,,=) Just bought this car went halves with my cuz, we are doing a resto mod with it. tear down started today.... so guys with all this going on it will be a couple of months before I jump back on the Datsun, I have 3 months to get the 57 Bel air done and the 66 Elco going to show them at the Pleasanton Goodguys show/sale....=) Quote Link to comment

I am about to check out a 73 2-door that the owner says needs much body work. Bought a Hobart 210 a year back that I still have to wire the garage for. You make me think I could take it on, lol! I ordered the front valance from Futofab should be here Saturday can't wait to see how it fits. getting ready for Epoxy primer. SPI Epoxy primer done. 4 Quote Link to comment

Georges510 Posted November 17, 2015 Author Report Share Posted November 17, 2015 I was able to get 1st coat of high build primer on the hood tonight after work, baked it with the heat lamp and if all goes well I will be block sanding the hood on Thursday night, I still need to block sand tail light panel, then car will be ready for final primer. I will be working on engine bay after final primer,,,,,its getting close for paint just having a hard time deciding on a color. 2 Quote Link to comment
