LOL, no. There is always one on the crank end, then the drive plate (or flywheel) and often one on the back of the plate to sandwich it. It would spread the stress over a larger area around the bolts too.

 

The picture is of two different sets. The ones on the right are from an '84 Maxima 4spd automatic.

Makes sense, thanks for clarifying. Looks like I need to find these spacers and the correct bolts.
