Put a new battery in, and also bought a jump box just in case the alternator is bad so i dont get stuck somewhere since i cant push start with my health right now.

And some more pics. Plan on getting the front end together better, and then re-painting the grille, and removing those fog lights from the bottom.  Going to leave those things on the bumper for towing since the bumper is ruined if i remove them, better than big bolt holes showing (sucks since the bumper is in such good shape otherwise :(  )

wouldn't the alternator have been cheaper then the jump box, and solved the weak alt issue?

Sucks about the bumper :(  Aren't easy to find from what i hear... Tho, you could take the bumper off... and take it to a shop. any fab shop can fill the holes and have it re-chromed. be good as new.

Yah just im not allowed to spend more than about 1500 on her, shes just going to be a driver.  And ive always wanted a jump box, with 5 cars one battery always seems to go dead at some point, and just nice to have, and im not sure if the alt is bad or not, cant find my meter so figure just drive and see, and if she wont start, i got a box lol.

Today she is officially mine.  Waiting for collectors plates to show up.  Also got the spare fender and hood, i must not of understood him, he only had a passenger fender, and hood, no valance or driver fender :(, but still the hood is what i really wanted since mine seems to of one point un-latched itself.   Ready to get her together.

Putting my new hood on this weekend as long as the paint comes in, got paint matched paint from a place i used on my sentra that matched very close, so hopefully this is close as well. Be ncie to keep her the right color.

Drove her finally tonight, love how easy she starts, and how well she drives. Started fine at walmart, but when i got home and shut off, she didnt want to start, put key off and then turned on again and started fine several times.  Thinking may be a bad starter, just need to get teh alt tested and voltage regulator. Really impressed with how she drives, oh and the gas got stuck for a secound, got stuck on the carpet, need to figure that out lol.

Check all connections, battery, selenoid/starter, ground strap. Sometimes a bad connection makes that issue apparent.

If all is fine, could be the ignition switch. If the ignition switch is going south, losing its juice, a relay conected in line fixes that issue, better and cheaper than getting a new ignition switch which will not be genuine Datsun part but some plastomomo made in china piece O'

So car toys installed my new stereo today, sounds great, and somehow on accident they fixed my temp gauge?  Its working now, yet the vdo gauge is NO LONGER working.  Weird.

Sounds amazing, looks great with how they recessed it in, and the new speakers are all recessed into the original mounting locations in cargo area and kick panels, so looks stock.  Dont normally like going to car toys, but they did a great job for once.

Got a burst of energy, so i went out got the hood on and my empi mirror. Need some silicone to put behind the mirror. And washers for hood to boost the passenger side since its sitting low, and its rubbing on the damn cowl. And my paint is not coming out right, like the metallic is not seating right in the paint, pisses me off, 40 bucks for the paint and its not right. Going to contact them,f irst time ive ever got bad matched paint.

Yah the mettalic isnt laying right, like its going on uneven, never had a issue with their paint before, and both cans seem to not be laying right, sprayed it on other things and the mettalic goes on in spots and others it doesnt.  Annoying, but at least it looks better than a stripped or black hood.  i guess.

So have kind of decided i want to keep her, and lowe rher now that she looks like a 4x4....but she looks so much better with the enkies on, and has been driving great since fixing the thermostat, no issues with exploding coolant which has been VERY nice. 10599329_10154546645195331_2083302615903
