Anyone knowing the going price for a chassis media blast in the nw?

I'm curious, what should I be expecting to pay here in the northwest for a media blasting fo a stripped down 240z shell. I'm thinking maybe I will just get this thing blasted instead of wasting all this time sanding.

I'm not in the northwest, but around here I've been quoted around $800 for a 510, which seems to be a pretty median price.

A buddy paid about $300 to get a yota bed done. He had it done at a place here in Marysville.

hm, seems pretty reasonable really. I'll have to call around the portland area. I suppose I will have to figure out how to transport the damn thing there and back also.

Not sure the price difference in regions but, the price is pretty standard around 800 in Chicago, but for only visible panels, no under carriage, no interior roof, no inside fenders/quarters, trunk. You better ask before hand mate! just my experience. $1200-$1500 is about right for a TOTAL strip.

i just had a ford falcon done, all panels and a spare rear section done, media, not sand, it cost 1900 with tax.

I've heard nothing but good things about their work. :thumbup: I plan to have my roadster chassis and body done there when I get to that stage in the project.

From what I've read, most folks who do it themselves (and aren't doing a number of cars) say they shoulda just spend the money to have it done. It's quite the messy job. Just a thought.... :cool:

yeah, I imagine a few hours with a shop vac cleaning all the crap up. Then I also gotta consider some breathing aperatus spelling.

 

would be handy to have in the future though. I wonder how much media it takes to do a entire chassis.

yea if your going to go that far, you might as well commit an pay someone else to doit.. or even if they do the majority.. maybe under carrige and inside of car.. an u do the outside to save money..
