Hmmmmm, this looks strangely familiar to my original plan.

Well, the L20b is usually sort of off limits for a 1200, since it's a little on the tall side and clearance is too tight. But...

We are giving serious thought to spacing the crossmember down an inch off the frame...

1. Because baja car.

2. Because more engine room.

3. Because there ain't no replacement for displacement!

Yes there is, it's called a turbo!

Don't give these guys ideas. It's going to take 3 more years to finish the Baja turbo'd L20B 1200.

That's too long and I have yet to see these guys finish a car.

There's one car in their stable I'm waiting to see work get done to.

At this pace...

Oh, and in my "downtime" over the last 6-8 months we built an L18-5spd 521, a very fast and well handling '67 C10, did a full top to bottom restoration on a Jeep Wrangler, and just for grins built a hot rod Studebaker Avanti.

And in between breaths I've done big brake upgrades, engine swaps, seat upgrades, etc on at least 20 Datsuns for friends.

I only show you guys maybe 10% of what we build. So please don't give me a shit about not finishing one.   B)

What color is that blue on the 521?

Chrysler Electric Blue. Same color we used on a '71 wagon build that Kelmo owns now.

I wish that C10 was mine, that is the only full size pickup I would own, but at current prices not likely to happen.

A lot of fun to build, and to drive. We basically did a full ground up resto on it too, including suspension mods, wheels, paint, all new interior, aftermarket gauges, etc.

Is there a thread on that car?

I don't think so. Maybe him having it was a secret? Oops.   ^_^

I actually sold it to him as an unfinished project (did paint/body and engine swap, but needs interior and brakes), and I think maybe he wants to wait on a build thread until he's got more done on it. You know, so people don't nag him about the lack of progress.

You must not be paying attention.
