4x4 L-series...???

Justin

Recommended Posts

So with winter coming up I'm beginning to dread the snow/chains situation,

so I'm wondering a few things about going 4X4 with the 521.

My main questions are:

What do I need to search out to keep the L series motor? (What else works besides a 1980 transfer case...?)

What kind of axles are preferred/useable?

Major pitfalls/complications?

What I'm I overlooking??

There's few things I like more than a dumped-out 521, but chains are such a pain! And I'd say lifted 4x4 521's are (almost) as cool...? And definately less seen.

Thoughts, knowledge, opinions, feedback!

Let's hear it!

Thanks!

:D

its not hard to do the conversion. i have a divorced dana 20 that i ran in my truck that i dont want any more if your interested. i run toyota running gear now. but it has the driveline piece that slide right into any datsun tranny. all you would need to do is find a front axle
