Still, accordions are kind of nerdy. All I remember is the kids in the accordion club in high school. They all looked like the crumbs in the bottom of the cereal box when the bag is removed.

It's a culture thang. In Eastern Europe they're rock stars. In America they're spotty faced momma's boys. Stereotypes aside, great musical skill crosses all borders.

Haha, reminds me of high school and the kids who drove Japanese cars. In the 1970s, cool guys drove american steel especially Chevies or Mustangs, not tin cans

True. In '60s, never saw a Honda lite the tires in high school. One guy had a Nash Metropolitan. Laughable.

My next door neighbor had a $50 '58 Ford Consul, briefly. We took it out on a tear and it overheated, winter so maybe the block was frozen. No shit we pissed in the radiator just like Red Dawn, the original one not that other piece of shit. Limped home by blowing through stops because it would not idle. That was the end of that.

You brought me back to my early days with those last few bands.  I worked live sound at a venue in West LA that had bands that blended ska and punk.  Los Lobos came in when they were nobodys, and they played tradition upbeat Mexican songs insanely loud with hyper tempos.  I always enjoyed those type of bands.  There were quite a few bands that were good, and always fun at their live shows.  Good times!

Ska was my genre of choice in high school. I was a scooter mod punk in SD during the 80s and rode my Lambretta Jet 175 up to LA to see show with my club almost every weekend. Gazzarri's, The O.N. Klub, The Lion's Club, and The Whisky. Absolutely an amazing time and place to be around. In their early days, Fishbone would stay at my buddy Mark Stolinavich's house when the played in SD. In the 80s, SoCal was a glut of riches.
