Hi everybody!!!

This is my first post, I'm from Portugal and I'm very proud to have a Datsun!!!

I hope I can learn and teach some stuff with you!!!

Now the story of my RENEW B110!!!

My 1200 was bought on November 2004, and after that it broke 3 differentials!!!

The car apparently looks very good, but the true is that he was not that good!!! Some paint problems, engine troubles, rust problems and many other things!

I painted for new, but after some years I understood that I've nada a big mistake, so I will give Him a second chance, eternal life, as you can see by the photos...

My project is for renew the old parts, fix him from about the problems and of course, lead it to the closest possible to the original!!!

I hope you enjoy it as I...

Today I'll put the photos from the other day and then I'll keep ths post updated!!!

Datsun Rules...

Hi again!

Thanks for all the comments I appreciate it a lot!!!

Abou my craftmanship, he is an artist with his hands!!! And a very good person!!! He used to follow RENAULT GEST GALP TEAM all over the worl, first with the RENAULT 5, then the 11 and last CLIO WILLIAMS, then he retired and solved to rebuilt and restore cars!!! Men like him did never die!!!

How can I get the seal of approval!!!! Is from Nissan???

Returning to work, we have rebuilt the trunk door!!!

We separated the structure from the panel and it was all treated and metalized to prevent rust!!!

Here are the photos

restaurodatsun001mj8.jpg

The darkest part of the panel is some kind of a product to prevent rust, and just when it desapear both parts are putted together!

Hi Devenratsun!!!

Thanks for the comment!!!

Yeah, it's a great job, i'm very excited to see the final!!!

I hope have it completely restored this year!!! But there are some parts that I could't find!!! So it will delate my project!!!

About the color...I'm going to put it the most original possible, perhaps yellow pepper!!! In Portugal there were a lot of yellows but I want it the original!!!

I have a color chart from Datsun that I picked up one time on the internet and the yellow that I'm refering to didn't make part of the catalogue!!!

The gold was nice, but the lines on purple???? Bad combination...

Thank you!!!

Hi!!!

Answering to your question ]2eDeYe, I used 3 different types of foam.

The white one is a normal sponge that has glues in one side, it can be bought in every store, but the black one is different, it holds temperatures until 600
