Selling My 521 Project

Recommended Posts

Yep, another one started that I'm not finishing. I started this project with the intention that I would drive it every day, but things change. If I don't get what I want for it, I'll stick it in the garage until my 510 is done.

Anyway...

-71 521

-12 Valve KA / 5 speed

-720 Spindles and Brakes

-3.90 Detroit Locker

-Rear springs moved inboard and up 4"

-steering column shortened 3"

-body is off the frame

See my add on Sacramento Craigslist at http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/821170543.html

See project pictures at http://datsun510.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=3414

Thanks,

Jerry

How hard was it to shorten the steering column? I don't care for having the steering wheel in my chest.

Not hard if you can weld. I shortened it when the truck was still pretty much together, and I test fit it after it was done; made a huge difference fitting my body in the seat.

The toughest part was disassembling and reassembling the steering box.

Sounds like a pretty good deal from where I am sitting. KA, 5-speed, detroit locker, Disc brakes up front. Add those things up and then add a straight 521 body an frame that has already been blasted. Yup, sounds like a great deal.

Someone will have a hell of a truck when it is back together!

Good luck with teh sale!
