Dunno how it could be any sort of relay with only one wire connected, or is there another terminal below where the black/yellow wire is connected? Where do the red wires go? Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
the 2 unhooked go to the relay the red wire hooked between them is just a jumper wire to get it to crank. Quote Link to comment
xyzalvarez
as my dime : same shape relays... one was coming from the ignition / coil , one wire is ground for sure and the other two power... the other ones were, horn and lights i think... hope it helps...my dime came with a spiderweb as wireharness...:( Quote Link to comment
ppeters914
Without a 510 wiring diagram, I don't know for sure, but going through old posts, there's a B/Y wire that runs from the ignition switch directly(?) to the starter solenoid. Hainz also mentions a B/Y wire for the second set of points on a dual-point dizzy. May or may not matter, but what year car, and what year/size motor? Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
the car is a 70 motor is l20 pretty sure it a starter relay but right now i got bigger issues than that dumb thing i think i might have to do some head swaping or a header swap. Quote Link to comment
Icehouse
Could it be the inhibitor switch? Was it an auto originally? Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
Yes it was a auto and I bet your right I wonder if having this jumper wire is gonna fry something. Quote Link to comment
