If they are "very light", and looking at the surface color, these might in fact be real Magnesium wheels. Don't rub! At least until you verify that they are NOT Magnesium, or you just might have a fire that you won't be able to extinguish with ordinary means. Look for ANY markings and google [or whatever took its place] to see if anyone can ID these.

The raw magnesium I've seen is darker when it oxidizes.   Might be the difference between Cali (drier) and Wash (wetter).
