mattyhacks71 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Share Posted January 5, 2014 I cant get the driver side brake drum back on for some reason..too tight on the shoes. Shoes are new relined and new wheel clys from newdatsunparts.com, adjusters are og and are backed in all the way. The drums arent new either..anyone ever have this problem? datzenmike Posted January 5, 2014 Report Share Posted January 5, 2014 I've seen this before. OEM isn't exactly OEM and the lining is slightly thicker. Is the E brake backed off? Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Share Posted January 5, 2014 If your drums were not turned it is very likely that there's a slight lip preventing the shoes from sliding past. If as stated the shoes were relined then Datzenmike is more than likely spot on, the linings are just slightly too thick. Quote Link to comment
