kks_john
I am in need of a crush sleeve for a 66 411 and have had zero luck in tracking one down. not one driveline shop in town has been able to help and no online source has them for anything that the pinion seal fits... my question is; are we just F'd when we need to replace the pinion seal in our 411s? kks_john
GENIUS! I assume the "as required for 1.3" means it cannot be reused to many times...and that there are THREE part numbers...strange... that would be it (could this be before the nissan's figured out about crush sleeves?!) I think. I will see if the dealer can get all three and I'll see what works. yay. thank you so much. do you have the manual on pdf or paper? how much can I buy a copy from you if it's pdf? yello620
What is number 27 called in that picture. Wondering if those are shims that set the preload, and that this might be before the days of the crush sleeve. Jason Quote Link to comment

Wondering if those are shims that set the preload, and that this might be before the days of the crush sleeve. could be. what is the number for 27? They're listed as WASHER-adjusting, drive pinion bearing for the 1.3L (15 part numbers), and SHIM-adjusting, drive pinion (5 part numbers) and WASHER-thrust, drive pinion bearing (8 part numbers) for the 1.6L. The different part numbers are for different thicknesses I believe. The 1.3L part descriptions says 2.35T, 2.33T, 2.31T, etc. The 1.6L shims say 0.050, 0.075, 0.125, etc.. The 1.6L washers have no extra info. Quote Link to comment
kks_john
that's it then, no crush sleeve, only shims. hmm. thank you for checking that out for me. Quote Link to comment
