pondking
cruisin in the freeway suddenly stopped the pedal was stuck but they popped back up now its stiff and it starts whistling and its pretty difficult to stop the pressure increased dramatically im not sure if it effected the idle before but it seems so now i apply the brake and it changes so, do brakes cause the idle to change when parked? i know the rotors are messed up could that be it? datzenmike
Brake booster vacuum leak, my guess. Normal operation: Pump brakes several times to vent any vacuum. Push down on brake pedal normally and hold. Turn motor on. Pedal should drop slightly. Go listen around the master cylinder while someone pumps the brake with the motor running. Hear any hissing? ggzilla
"brake pedal was stuck" - replace the booster. It is leaking vacuum which causes all those other symptoms. Quote Link to comment
