Very nice! I can't wait to see the finished product. are you gonna bring the prototype by the shop for a test fit?

I am. Gotta order a 12' length of 6061. It's less to get a length than to buy a cut of material for a set. So I'm waiting for another R-180 sale to buy material.

whats the point of the extra 360 degrees of bends?

turbos too efficient that the needed head loss? they have something that slides in there to cook hotdogs while they drive?

I can't see any packaging, thermodynamic, or esthetic reasons to do that, what am i missing?

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that they 'think' it might work to cool the charge a little. BUT, since it's a draw though system (also see kinda lame) the less bends the better. On this, since the carbs are actually lower than the intake, they are going to get some "puddling" no matter what they did with the pipe. In other words, at low rpm, just driving around, little fuel droplets form inside the tubes from the fuel coming out of suspension. Then when they gas it and build boost, it will push all those fuel droplets into the engine and go really fat until it burns it all. It will clean up pretty quick, but not before it smokes like an old jimmy pulling a load.
