I a little surprised at your response (or lack of it). My reaction is to curse in a violent manner the full time I have lost control. Also, I would like the be the first to remind you that your turbo won't work and will have too much lag for a street driven car and I feel that video of you driving it is all fake. B)

I say pull that fucker off of there and raise your compression to around 13 to 1, then go with a cam so big it has to idle at around 2000 rpm (rough). I think this would make you happiest.

 

I hear what you're say'n, but I was razed on 2 stroke dirt bikes, so I'm used to working within a shorter power band. In all honesty the car is very streetable, and I pick up boost at 2500 rpm, full boost at 3500. Besides, there's no way a N/A SR20DE could produce that kind of power. I'm only at 12psi there, but that turbo can produce upwards of 24psi. This setup is exactly what makes me happy. To each his own.

VW! In what respect? A hand built horizontally apposed 4 cylinder engine with a Porsche trans-axle does not a VW make. Sick ass shit all the same. I had no idea you were in so deep man. Impressive. All I can say it MORE!

The engine is now my rail. That dragster had no transaxle, this does and it's just a VW bus. The case is VW, the heads are VW, the rest of the internals are not.

 

However, I can point right at a Scandinavian who is rubbing 400 hp with a stock vw crank, vw heads and is only 1641cc, but a LOT of boost. We keep hearing how it will die soon, but that's going on four years now.

Full sphincter clench for sure. I was paying too much attention to the gauges, but I had no idea they'd turn the exit into a 25mph corner. I must have been doing 50 when I looked up. I grabbed all the breaks I had, slid it sideways, let off the breaks and the wheel when I came into the apex of the corner. The car did everything it was supposed to. Thank you Datsun gods.

I bet man I clinched up just watching it, very nice save tho :thumbup:
