stock 73 610 sedan wheel/tire combos - help!

Recommended Posts

Hey guys - been awhile since I've needed to outright ask a question as usually the search option does it for me - I'm just wondering what are the maximum wheel/tire sizes I'll be able to fit on a stock 73 610 4 door.

The rims I have right now are stock, but dented and just look like garbage, so it's about time I find some new ones (well, new to me anyway). I'm just curious what are some bigger sizes that will fit with little or preferably zero modifications to control arms or having to roll over lips or anything. Right now the tires are so small that the car is literally dangerous to drive at highway speeds when it's really windy. I feel like I'm a gust of wind away from going into the ditch, plus it just looks so silly riding on tires that are barely wider than a peddle bike, lol...

Also, I'm curious if anyone has any ideas of some wheels I might be able to pull off vehicles in a junk yard that might fit that'll give it a decent look as I don't really want to purchase brand new ones because it doesn't make much sense having brand new flashy rims on a car that still needs a sh*t ton of body work, lol.

So any help would be greatly appreciated - any and all opinions welcome on what wheels you think would look good and would fit. I'm not even entirely sure what the bolt pattern is on these cars so I'm looking for a complete education on this topic!!

Thanks for having patience with me, I know I'm a total noob, haha...

take care all!

PS: As I was just creeping, for example a user named "Supra510" not only has an amazing example of everything I want my car to one day be, he's running HUGE wheels/tires. Just wondering how something like that is possible because it doesn't seem like those should EVER fit, haha...
