EDM620
In 2014 I was at Pikes Peak, Gas Monkey Garage provided the "Official Pace Truck" I thought I had a good photo of the whole truck. I also have a video of the semi that runs there annually, after he crashed it during practice. Too big to post here. 4 Quote Link to comment

I long to get back to the Devil's Kitchen. It has changed a bit. It is now fully paved. But, I have made the Land's End Hill Climb several times since then. It is outside my back door. You can see the dust, but not the cars (about 10 miles away). 2 Quote Link to comment

I couldn't get off from work on a regular weekend to go so I have only been once since they paved it and I really miss the dirt. Now that I'm retired I plan on going again. Here are a couple of my pics from there. By the way it's "Devil's Playground" not kitchen. 4 Quote Link to comment

When he went off the road, he was thinking "this isn't bad" as he mowed over some trees, and then he hit the rocks... Note the front axle 3 Quote Link to comment

Usually a quick two day run that paid extra for overdimensional (14 feet), and usually ran right back with a couple of loaded pallets back to The Big Shed in Everett. A late spring snowstorm shut the entire state down for a week, I sat behind the truckstop, burning fuel to keep warm, lucky that I had a week's worth of food in my truck, and a week's worth of shower credits. Spring Snowbound In Rawlins by Racer, on Flickr I had Al Roker on my 24" flatscreen to tell me how fucked up the weather was, everywhere, so I didn't feel all alone. 24 Inch Flatscreen by Racer, on Flickr When they did open it up, they had to shut it down almost immediately, as all the fat ass door swingers jammed it all up trying to deliver refrigerated stuff and it was a crashfest. The next day they opened it up again. Took me all day to get from Rawlins to Cheyenne. Lincoln Pass by Racer, on Flickr A couple days later, I was headed back to Seattle, and The Big Shed in Everett, with two thrust reversers and a yard goat. There was spring dust in Missoula.
