jrock4224
deleting is cheating leaf ..... you said that 72 was wearin them(transports) .... i said they weren't and then stated they do exist but not what your referring to ... the wheels on that 72 are specifically made now..... i said that late model escalades and all 1/2 ton chevys 2wd or 4wd are 6 lug now, the trucks u posted in your, older chevys, while often came 6 lug are converted to the 5 on 5 pattern .... there fore nullfying your post on point A and point B the wheels (transport) wheels u posted, profile is different ....as described above ... there a common 16 inch center stamping with a stepped barrel to the desired size ... jrock4224
Nice truck. I really like the rims. Gm 22x9 inch steelies. They are ”transit” rims. When you order a GM with the 22" wheel package, they ship it to the dealer with these on it, and the dealer puts on the pretty rims. These are never supposed to leave the dealer, they aren't even technically DOT rated. I think they are awesome. this post where u say these are transport wheels....... they're a new fad ... and while i like it .... its getting a little worn out ....I'm not arguing transport wheels exist cause i have a set .... in my possesion ... they are hard to get a hold of ... and to be honest the offset sucks and they are heavy ... they work good for 99 and up front but the rears are the same offset and even if u use a spacer they still look wrong imho!!! th wheels on the 67-72 are made in California or Arizona and u can order them in specific offsets .... and to be honest are nicer cause the centers are true diameter and the barrel doesn't make up for the diameter desired Quote Link to comment

Averaged 11.5 mpg nice .,.... i wish mine was white ..... quadrasteers cant be lifted lol .... i gotta buy a 500 driveline for my lift ... stupid gm ... I've had tahoes and i like the size and the truckier ride of the suburban ... plus it seats 6 comfortably ... i will post some pics ... its charcoal like my trailer .... wish i had the stock rims though ... its got some less schwab specials on it .... i old the guy 500 less if he would keep the wheels and tires bu he didn't go for it ...... is that a 6.0 or a8.1 int hat quad steer burb...... i like the 8.1 and to be honest since the 6 doesn't get great mileage i figured i would just go for the torque instead .... i wanted the next generation body but couldn't find the right deal and this one was a steal Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
I don't recall deleting anything. I simply didn't understand where our disagreement was. I misunderstood what you had posted. I already acknowledged that the 72 could have been a mispost on my part. I apologize for any rim confusion I may have created for our readers. Quote Link to comment

Ours was just my wife's way of not having a minivan. Even with 3/4 ton suspension it still road better than this newer Tahoe and had way better seats 1 Quote Link to comment
