One of each O.o I don't know if you're a 'brand loyal' kinda guy or not, but I have been really wanting to do one of these as my next, You just don't see that many and I like stuff like that. 3 Quote Link to comment

smoke
Three things I have been really digging about the old Dodges. One is that in stock form, people darn near have to give them away. I am sure that will change, but right now, they are really cheap. The second thing is they are not everywhere like Fords and GM and third, I like them because as of right now, you can't just open up a catalog and buy every piece to it in polished billet. You actually have to do some digging and have some ideas. What really got these things on my radar is I was loading some groceries in my truck in the Safeway parking lot a few months back and I hear this idle. Not one of those slow, big cam, floppity flop tee flop idles, but a really nasty, fast, rough idle, like something just chomping at the bit. This made me swivel my head to see what the fuck it was and it was one of these, in really dark red, kinda low and really done to my taste, nothing super flashy, really clean muscle truck. From then on I have been casually digging around for the right one and I like the old sweptline trucks. Tell you what really sucks. 16 years ago, I got a sweptline truck on a trade. This thing was as stock as stock gets, had 28k on it, was some kind of a ugly goldish green color. The thing was just mint, but who cared, so I sold it for peanuts. I would so roll that fucker today, but back then, I wanted no part of it. 2 Quote Link to comment
q-tip
if youre looking for an old dodge smoke i know a guy with an early 60s? 4wd with a 440 in it that he would probably sell Quote Link to comment
smoke
That sounds pretty darn cool, but I was really leaning toward 2wd. A few years back, I pieced together an old 426 max wedge and I was thinking 2wd, street truck for it. Quote Link to comment
smoke
One of theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese. 2 Quote Link to comment

Mattndew76
Not a brand loyal type, but I grew up riding shotgun in a 64 dodge pickup. Can't say I would ever go back. It was called "Biff" and I hated that dang truck. Only because of associated people. It was dependable though. Quote Link to comment
smoke
Oh, everyone of the old ones I have driven were a crappy driving rattle traps and really bare bones. BUT, I'm not really planning a cross country trip or it even being a daily driver, so I can put up with it's bullshit for the most part. Quote Link to comment
JoeCool
My idea of truck porn. The Munster Koach built by George Barris. Ford T-bucket combined with a hearse to make a bad ass ride! 3 Quote Link to comment
JoeCool
So far as brand loyalties go I have two. Ford and Nissan. Have owned several of both makes, both were pretty much problem free. And every GM I ever owned was junk! 1 Quote Link to comment
