Soundline
To be anointed as His Highness, King Rat, you must maintain your royal bearing. Laughing is for us plebiscites. I bet he wouldn’t even chuckle at this if he’d had a family member who worked for the bottom right. 2 3 Quote Link to comment
Racer X 69
First day of jury duty today, at the local superior court. With Covid all the jurors are serving via Zoom. While connected on the Zoom thing I browsed the video feeds of the other jurors. It was interesting to see how they set up their computer/tablet/phone. One guy has a wall of black storage totes with bright yellow lids behind him. A woman has what looks like a projected scene behind her, like she is in Central Park in the spring with all the trees in bloom. Many people have really messy homes. A couple people are dressed in their Sunday best, while others are in sweats. One guy is constantly looking about, acting suspiciously. And one dude is using a laptop in the cab of his work truck, like he is in construction. Some people appear to have put some thought into the camera setup, angle, background, lighting. Others don't seem to have a clue, looking like a dark shiluoette, with a cluttered and distracting background. One dude was picking his nose. 2 5 Quote Link to comment

You could always have a background that says "GUILTY" repeated all over. If you did, they'd probably excuse you. 1 1 1 Quote Link to comment

I love the first gen Camaro, make no mistake about it, but the 'new Camaro'? I'm having trouble seeing the similarity to the original. The Challenger is closer than the Mustang (although very Steve McQueen) but the Camaro falls short somehow. The tail lights are wrong. The front grill is wrong (although I understand the need for aerodynamics) and it just isn't a Camaro. I wouldn't buy one I would buy a Challenger first. 1 Quote Link to comment

I've been to a few in my former life, hauling airplane parts, and secret govmint stuff out of Bingen for the cousins of the guys who run The Big Shed. They are usually long concrete tiltup structures, with multiple airlines sharing space, separated by cyclone fences, with barbed wire. Weirdest shit I ever saw. Soundline
@Racer X 69 trust me, things get much weirder. I’ve been in so interesting situations while I was in the USAF. Ever been to Moses Lake, WA Air Field? @bananahamuck when I was a cop, I was at the prosecution table during jury selection for the oddest trial I’ve ever been in. The prosecutor asked a guy about his feelings over graveyards. He loudly proclaimed that Jesus Christ was the ONLY judge. He pulled a coin from his pocket proclaiming to the Lord to judge the trial. Before anyone could interject, he flipped it, saying “heads the man is innocent”. It was tails. He refused to be swayed on this and was dismissed. That’s been in my shirt pocket for years. 3 1 Quote Link to comment
