hobbes_the_cat
I just recently took a closer look at the bent trailing arm I pulled off this thing. Pretty serious impact huh? 1 Quote Link to comment

Speed_Office!
Hey guys, I now own this car,I traded my z car for it,the want became so strong that i just had to get a 510. went and picked it up from a guy in bremerton and drove it back to idaho. It's in good hands now for sure. It's nice to be able to have some of the history on the car because the guy i got it from didn't know shit about it. does anyone have any more info on this? like the engine and or cam specifics? 1 Quote Link to comment
q-tip
The engine is an lz, I think it's a z22 block. The cam I don't remember but its not stock. Wish I remembered more but I'm digging deep into the memory banks in this one, craigslist ad from like 2007. 1 Quote Link to comment
hobbes_the_cat
Yeah it's an LZ hybrid for sure. The manifold and carbs were set up by Garage Autohero. The cam says "Sam" or something that looks like that, engraved on the back. None of the old timers I talked to knew what that meant. Zx 5-speed. And by the way it revs it must have a super light flywheel. Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
So I have a few questions for the old timers. Dug into it more today and pulled the cam cover to see what I'm working with. The cam is a regrind with P.A.M. engraved on the back. Anyone know who's grind it is? Also curious about these Italian Solex carbs. Will Mikuni rebuild parts swap right over? Cam engraving was posted here 1 Quote Link to comment
Son_of_a_Datsun_Guy
Could it just be a not so good looking D? That would mean it's a DAM cam, which is the go to street performance L cam from back in the day. Quote Link to comment
the510keeper
DAM cam. Brings to mind Dietz automotive mangling. AKA Kelvin Dietz Quote Link to comment
soundboi
Seems like a pretty decent car, would track till the end of the days with this if it was mine. sr20 swap, full cage, sti rear. Quote Link to comment
