nickel&dime
What would be the best way to fix this little section of rust? Quote Link to comment
thatguy
Cut it out and weld in a new piece. Or replace the fender. Quote Link to comment

tr8er
Get some sandpaper on it, sand until you see no more rust runners. Then take a picture and re-post. My educated guess is a new fender is in order. But anything can be fixed if you prefer. The cost of a replacement fender is generally less than fabricating a replacement section, cutting out the rust, and welding in the replacement part. If you just sand it down good, treat the rust, then bondo and paint, you will see rust again in a few months. IF you go this route, paint the treated (OSPHO) rust with POR-15 primer, then fiberglass filler, then sand and paint. But again, this is not an acceptable fix, only an ambulance fix to hold until you can get real surgery. 1 Quote Link to comment

Dime Dave
All driver side 510 fenders will fit regardless of the model used on. The only exception is the marker light openings and badge location. These vary based on year and origin. There have been patch panels sold on eBay in Australia for this area. I have no knowledge of how they fit. As an option, FutoFab will have complete steel fenders available around January 1st for $325/each. Picture of pre-production prototype used for test fitting. tr8er
Slap a rat sticker right on top of that rust till you can get a fender. Or check eBay and Craigslist. Or scrap yards. Quote Link to comment
