mikeanike99
I was thinking about getting some 180 75r14 tires and throwing them on my stock steelies. I feel like my 15s look too big. Any input? Or anyone looking for some rally's? Quote Link to comment
KlassicMotion
I see what you mean, the 15's do kind of look off. Quote Link to comment
mikeanike99
The rim to tire combo isn't right needs less rim and less tire and not as wide Quote Link to comment
mikeanike99
So today I got some work done. Painted half of the inside of my bed, and found like 5 small rust holes....kinda sad about it....but they are small so it's not that bad. I used rust-oleum gloss almond and love it! BlackBird620
Why did you only paint half the bed instead of waiting and prepping the whole thing and painting it all at once Quote Link to comment
mikeanike99
Why did you only paint half the bed instead of waiting and prepping the whole thing and painting it all at once Two reasons 1.i am short and can't reach all of it at once 2.i also wanted to see how it turned out to see if I need to change methods Quote Link to comment
mikeanike99
That is also the color I want to later paint my truck Quote Link to comment
mikeanike99
I finally have the plan for what I am gonna do with my truck, and I am sticking to it. No matter what. I have made a deal with jacob (jastrunk97 aka my big brother) that if I change that plan I owe him $5. My plan is for sure flat bed with the wheel wells on the sides. I want my tires sticking about 2-5" above the deck and I am going to c-notch my frame and either 3" or 4" blocks with 720 4x4 leafs. And don't try and can change my mind unless you have a good reason or suggestion. Mike, Quote Link to comment
mcordero8
You just spent time and money painting the inside of your bed and now you are going to go flat bed. I think I would pay my brother the $5 and keep moving. I think these trucks look better low, and I am not sure why you want to go flat bed. A flat bed is more for a work truck to haul stuff. mikeanike99
I would rather have a flatbed because it makes hauling a quad or a couple dirt bikes a lot easier. Also I prefer the look of the flatbed. as far as the paint goes I mainly wanted to see that color in person I want to paint my cab that color. And as far as time goes I have like 5 months before I have my truck driving Quote Link to comment
mikeanike99
Exactly what I want my bed to look like! I saw this awhile back and just spent the last hour finding it :D Quote Link to comment
GRpufnstuf
I like it! You're back to your original plans if I'm recalling correctly. I say do it how you like it, just keep at it. Half finished projects are the worst. That bed looks easy enough to make and you can probably sell you stock bed for enough $ to cover the materials. And driving around low is worth the extra bumps and angled driving for speed bumps and driveways. In fact I think it makes a better driver since you need to pay attention to the road all the time to keep from breaking your truck. Get that bed off of there and start cleaning and painting the frame now! Plus that'll make you spring conversion easier All that said, your truck looked cool sitting up high Baja style Quote Link to comment

It did look good like that but I prefer lowered and yes they are my original plans. I will be taking my bed of Saturday....i hope....should I just cut the bolts off? And I will certainly clean/paint my frame while the bed is off! Quote Link to comment
