bonvo
I like those wheels a lot more then the big billet ones the look a lot classier 1 Quote Link to comment
finney
I feel like its two steps forward 1 step back. in short rear brake cylinders from rock auto were garbage - Tightened the banjo bolts and stripped the threads out. Pull the Drums apart again…. refurbished the originals cylinders using parts from both and replaced got the brake lines finished for the rear diff and back to the chassis continued tidying up wiring, bake lines and air lines Found a air leak on left hand corner - harder to fix than expected and waiting on a replacement PTC fitting tail shaft hits raised cross member at full lift trimmed crossmember - need to trim further trimmed crossmember and the 4 link means the cable handbrake is no longer suitable - will run hydraulic, but if i get pulled over by the cops I need mechanical for licensing Next up will be exhaust. 1 Quote Link to comment
finney
Today I spent some time finishing off strapping down and cleaning up the wiring and airlines. I pulled her out of the den and gave it a wash down. I also put a C notch in the middle x member for the drive shaft at full lift. Remember i sectioned and raised that x member in the beginning 4 Quote Link to comment
wayno
I agree, it sure looks good. :) I see the 520 is still in one piece. 1 Quote Link to comment

finney
I agree, it sure looks good. :) I see the 520 is still in one piece. Things are not as they seem…. Drivelines gone, Interior gone except the seat, sheet metal rust repair sections inside the cab and sills, every panel is sitting on, not bolted on and the front end is about to be chopped off once the V520 body is back on the chassis. I like my driveway to be tidy. 1 Quote Link to comment
finney
Sometimes something really small can re ignite the burn. This happened today after a couple of weekends off the Datto. Sat the guards over the wheels …… those lines…..bam!!!! Also cut the front end off the 520 for the 65 single headlight. A little banged up, but hopefully not too much work to fix. Minor accident damage on the passenger side. 4 Quote Link to comment
windowless66
Glad you've got your motivation back! Not even finished and its one of my favourite Datto's. I've just bought a 521 trayback. Now I wish I was closer to you so I could buy your tub. Maybe we can meet half way and make a trade ;) 2 Quote Link to comment

Josh K.
It's scary working alone. Even pulling a motor can be dangerous. Car looks sick! 3 Quote Link to comment

Swedishcadillac
Looks great! I had my wagon up and down onto 30 inch sawhorses a few times by myself building the c-notch and such. At least you have a frame and body. I was grinding and welding inside my unibody wagon with glass and headliner. Figured out I had to protect interior after a few close calls... 1 Quote Link to comment

finney
I was between the rear body and the wall when it fell off the saw horses , somehow no damage to me or the car. 4 Quote Link to comment
finney
I have had a couple of weeks off the wagon, So with some new motivation I started to straighten out the rad support off the 66 520 truck (Single Headlight) there was some accident damage on the left hand side, the left hand valance on the wagon also had accident damage, but it was better than the truck. the left headlight on the single headlight support was also pushed in a couple of inches, due to a previous accident. its not perfect but its looking a whole lot better than it did. Yep definitely pushing the 19s with a 3" BD, still a fair amount of room though. Forgot how shit it is to re align the body, front end and tub. looks like I will need to mod the bonnet a little for the rocker cover and find some a side mounted carby setup for the J13 5 Quote Link to comment
