datzenmike
I had an electric 521 for about 6 blocks. The flywheel bolts sheered off on me. I used the starter to turn the flywheel while it was in gear. The motor charged the battery... for twenty feet and stalled without the flywheel on it. Weird sound. Quote Link to comment

INDY510
My suggestion is an engine swap. Small displacement, and efficent factory fuel injection. Its hard to find that in RWD form though. I had thought if I did the same I would find a CA16DE from a 1986 Pulsar. Those engines can be mounted to the RWD transmission from a 200SX (CA20e). Is this true??? I want it for my 510, it would probably get good gas milage... Do you have any facts of any RWD CA16DE cars??? The CA sounds like a cheaper swap than a AC propulsion swap. I need to save all my money for a Tesla roadster, only $98K more to go:D Quote Link to comment
Bleach
I've seen two CA18DE powered 510's in Washington. Icehouse built one of them. Then he did an SR20DET swap. My info is from Icehouse. US Pulsars "SE" only 1986 - CA16DE 1987-88 CA18DE Quote Link to comment
