Interchanging wheel cylinders?

Recommended Posts

I have been defeated by my cars wheel cylinders. I can't afford new ones at the moment. My rear is from a 520. Will the ones from a 620 work? I have a trailer made from a 620 and all the brake parts are still there, I just don't want to tear into it unless they will work.

So what vehicle are you talking about?  We are not mind readers [we don't work for NSA or CIA].  Make, model and year would be a good start!

Doesn't matter what they're on.  520 wheel cyls are not the same as 620 wheel cyls.  In fact there are 2 piston sizes of 620 wheel cyls..  But the key is the 520 wheel cyls use SAE threads for everything (including the hydraulics) and 620s are metric.  So not interchangeable without modding things.
