Those Chevy floors were only 230 per side ,super easy after you remove and replace all rusted parts , here is my buddy who has spent 20k already . Red etch primer then grey was some filler type is not going to fill craters ,I am going to smear with metal puddy knife and use metal glaze on whole roof . Check out bad ass 16x8 mashie of mine on Nomad rear 245x45x16 fits sick ,he wants bigger .104_2229.jpg[104_2241.jpg104_2254.jpg104_2261.jpg[

Datsun 620 sr20det dailey driver project ! (Ok I am not sure if I should build this here but here goes anyway )all my shop projects are going here .

I am starting one for a customer and have a pretty good idea what it is going to take ,again not fancy or over built ,just a street truck that can be serviced easy and dependable ,also my cust. is on a budget ,motors cost more now ,he bought one from my supplier near by and delivered to my shop .

Here is my basic parts kit I am getting from one supplier ,if you want one I can get you one also .

THE kit needs a down pipe and 620 motor mounts would also work on 610 710 ,email direct my user name.

1 SR20det cast top mount manifold.

2 SR20 cloned intake manifold.

3 S13 pipping kit.

4 smallish intercooler.

5 BOV .cloned.

6 weld on T25 flange for exhaust manifold .not pictured.

7.HKS mushruum filter ?

All for 630.00 I think is a good deal ,I got two for my next swap also , so if we want more I can get them same as you see ,with blue rubber connectors and clamps , here is a couple pics of stuff .104_2285.jpg]104_2286.jpg

OT. Roadtrip in my personal car , stock black #505 510 4dr, sr20det ,log type custom ex. manifold ,stock turbo ,Starion intercooler,3.90 gears with Detroit locker (maybe 3.70 on next build for a better dailey driver) my first swap done 5 years ago want to re-do pipping and install cloned intake ,but has been great car as is with mostly re-used parts for early build.

I finally took on a reasonable road trip ,500 miles to Bay area to visit my mother in Napa at Veteran ret. center Yountville , stayed at a buddy's house in Sebastapol ,my son and Jim the tax man in pic at his house( note off road tires on 68 4dr ) ,beautiful country ,

The car being semi close to stock got some great mileage ,here, it got 28-29 at 80-85 mph going north ,on way home to LA with bs traffic making me go 60 got 30+ and went up grape vine in 5th gear , car rides rough overall great ride ! , will post motor pic later feel free to write with questions re. 510 sr20det near stock car .104_2351.jpg104_2354.jpg

Yes William ,I had to take a 510 wagon tank to Jim and wanted to take 510 on the road (maybe Canby with you next year) , was a good time , my car is a little weird when on gas hard and release at speed it pulls a little to right with LSD, even Jim noticed it ,he drove my car mostly ,rough roads up there !

Last oic of flatbed I worked on , see not all Flatties in Oregon and Wash.

Back to NOMAD job ,the guy wants to go get a LS3 2005 motor for it soon -any way stop by if in area . 104_2359.jpg104_2358.jpg104_2362.jpg]104_2360.jpg]104_2363.jpg104_2337.jpg

More shots of 1956 Nomad for Redeeye ,Note big drift had to drill hole in upper rocker to knock out lower , gets covered by sill plate ,also check out NISSAN jack and piece of wood used to reverse hit on lower taillight ,weld up lower seams ,getting around it ,rear almost done , also also my green keeper 521 shop truck was smashed in only in front may need an apron or fix old one ,really nice truck solid may get Z20 bottom end or NA sr .

Starting to like 311 1970 Roadster driver, maybe a keeper , really nice underneath and a lot redone already, has 5spd and header , install lowered springs on Roadster and spindle + bushings needs tie rod and ball joint booties next then will be kind of ready for roadtrip .

The bad is my knee is blown out a little ,with bad back also , doc said take easy for awhile ,I am only doing Bodywork / restoration , no more mech. work or swaps ,will finish 610 and try and get paid . Could not find a tech that can do swaps .104_2387.jpg[104_2375.jpg104_2386.jpg]100_2435.jpg100_2440.jpg100_2443.jpgL]100_2444.jpg100_2441.jpg100_2436.jpg[/100_2438.jpg100_2445.jpg[100_2413-Copy.jpg

Both corners needed re-shaping ,I am happy with very little rust and out come ,Left side which tail light is hinged and has gas cap inside was a little work ,we cut a groove in wood before we pushed out due to seam there , helped I think hold board and new used a few 4x4s to keep angle right with wimp jack when we pushed out ,we are lucky I have a 1956 to compare to and get angle perfect with paper template ,fit tail lights pretty close , Still have a little more welding ! , and Z shop dog looks like a photo chop- dog , had to put an oic of311 been fixing a bunch of small stuff but driving and feel lucky to have it ,makes me want to do an sr soon on 65 310.100_2451.jpg100_2452.jpg]100_2450.jpg

A little more work on shop truck (keeper), de-greased with pressure washer and gunk on lift also painted frame ,pulled front apron with a cut down 2x4 to fit behind grill with a hole in it , on an extra slide hammer ,and being a Datsun pulled pretty good ,I will paint front area and buff stock painted truck for that STOCK paint patina they would not allow at said show ,(just wrong)anyway will try and get in J STYLE show. Need to get Nomad in primer soon also.100_2453.jpg100_2456.jpg.html100_2456.jpg 100_2455.jpg100_2460.jpg100_2459.jpg100_2454.jpg100_2433.jpg
