hosestop@msn.com
Moar El Camino patch and paste , all area s are pre painted prior to welds and I can get to back of welds to paint with por or panel anti rust stuff prevent future rust , Jessie tig welded patches except rear lower ,I migged, straighten door and starting on rear upper quarter, we are going with an upper end single stage red paint (250 per gal.) because last paint was single stage , two stage may have bad reaction even with sealer , we normally paint only two stage clear coat , my cust just wants it done , reasonable job with SS stripes , not a strip bare metal job ,and car has had too much work on it already !. Feel free to ask questions or input welcome !]]] 2 Quote Link to comment

heretic
I'm no expert but I willing to bet there is no difference & if there is it is negligible. ........... how do you tell the difference un a S14 from S15 sr20de non turbo ............... Quote Link to comment
hosestop@msn.com
Well Sr20 this and that , when I learn more they are going to be gone ! Heretic the S15 sr20de ECU and wire harness are different and engine guy says cams on S15 are better as he tries to sell me S15 complete with trans for 1700 here in So Cal . I can get SR20det 1900 for black tops loose out of clip , cost to install !. Here is more info nobody really cares about , I purchased another S13 sr20de complete harness and ecu, without trans ,was an auto matic . (for a 521 install ) and came with car id plate ,says it is an S13 made in 1998 REALLY CLEAN ! like new inside . So I thought last S13 was 1994 and all 95 were S14 ,I was wrong again and if I can will purchase a couple more s13 sr20de to shelf for later roadster installs ,only because price is reasonable at this time on S13 engines .One I have says Nissan Van on valve cover 160 hp in paint pen . We will keep install of S14 NA 510 posted up soon .Also 71 Camino moving along to primer soon. 1 Quote Link to comment
hosestop@msn.com
S14 sr20de has found final nesting place ,went in and one side bolted up pretty good , will modify left side motor mount ,did not flip center link and seems to have clearance at oil pan area ,Fan is coming off we thought would try if fit . Post up your comments or questions about swap that Jessie is doing . I am doing 71 Camino bodywork pretty much one handed( love my 8" DA for bodywork ) because of wrist fusion surgery ,will post up L. side almost done . .]] 1 Quote Link to comment

I would expect the ECU & wiring to be different but as for the motor it looks like the cam is the only difference....... all good info That's a decent price on used engines does your guy ship? Three B's Racing
Hey Brad I've also heard the S15 cams are a bit better as far as wiring harness, I don't know. Interesting that the center link doesn't seem to interfere with the SR oil pan. So it's safe to guess it sits pretty far back? which mean pulling the trans when needed will require a bit more work not much just a bit. I have to unbolt my motor mounts center nut and remove the heater and radiator hoses then lift the front of the motor to lower the rear of the motor so I can slip the trans out and I had to do the center like mod on my S14 trans plant. Took me about 4 hours and 4 beers to do a clutch and aluminum flywheel replacement on my back. Hey won't be coming out for Thanksgiving as the boss said NO!!! because of potential extended Refueling Outage here at the Nuke Plant F'KN' Nuke Waaaah!!! Quote Link to comment
