Klassic--Most of the info from that link is a sticky somewhere here on the site.

However, The link you provided also has some links to other write-ups that are highlighted in blue. This is the first time I remember being able to access those links too.

Excellent info, and somebody(Jason, Ben) have a lot of time invested in compiling all that info.

Unfortunately, I no longer have any interest whatsoever in building any form of an "L" motor like I did a few years ago.

EDIT: On a sidenote, is Jason Grey still in the Datsun scene?

Did you go the route of SR20?  .....Sadly I've been day dreaming in that direction!

I was wrenching on my 510 with the garage door up the other day (I just moved to Eagle River, Alaska), and Jason rode bye on his bycicle.  We had a great chat.  He said he blew up his Turbo L16, built an L20B to put the turbo onto, and never finished.... some years ago.  Life and what-not got in the way....  We'll see, maybe I can inspire him to get back on the project.

So far, I've seen mine, and a dirt track 510 advertised on Craigslist.  Jason has one, and the dirt track car used to be his, before it became a dirt track car :crying:   Jason knows another guy that has a race car as well.  I think Jason mentioned he had owned one other 510 up here as well.  Other than that, I've seen a very nicely restored 240z and a radical 240/260z.  I also saw a 720 on the side of the road the other day.  So far that's all I know of.  About as many as I know of in Kansas!!  Only in Kansas, there are a decent number of 620s still on the road.

There is that.  I've gone back an forth, and throw in just building a beefy L20B....  I think most of us have the problem of making this decision.  The Fact is;  as a daily driver, 100 hp is fine.  But the 510 platform begs to go faster.  200 hp puts you almost at the 100hp/1000lb mark.  That's when things start getting exciting.
