510SSS
Hey guys I have my l20b engine out of the bay at the shop right now so I wanted to replace anything that I could get to with the transmission now. I got a new slave cyliner and clutch fork. However, my throwout bearing looks worn, and I wanna replace it, do you guys know what exact bearing I should use? Will a NOS one from a datsun 720 work, or should I get an aftermarket one from rockauto or something? Is there a collar that is needed in addition to the bearing? -Thanks 1 Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
The collar is removable, and should be matched to the pressure plate Quote Link to comment
510SSS
ok thats all well and good, but what about the bearing? I think the collar is already matched because I already drove it with the old engine with this tranny. I already have a new Daiken Stage 1 Clutch Kit/Pressure plate, what clutch release bearing should I use with this? Quote Link to comment
Xnke
When you buy the clutch kit, it will come with a throwout bearing. Press the old bearing off the collar, and press the new one on. Quote Link to comment
