whoiskennyhoward
I finally decided to register as a user here and share my latest toy. It is a 1984 (built June 1983 in USA) 720 regular cab, short wheel base, Z24, 5-speed, 2 wheel drive. It is base trim level but has air conditioning (not currently working), sliding rear window, and step bumper. So far, I have done a little tune-up/P.M stuff, added an exhaust system, turned the bars down to get the front low, and ground down the hub centers so I could run some 16" '90s Z71 wheels. It's obviously a work-in-progress, so I will try to post more pics as I get things done. Quote Link to comment

whoiskennyhoward
Thanks, guys! I have had a few 720s in my day. I have lots of pics of them on my Flickr page, but here are a couple of pics of them. My original 720 was a 1983 Japanese built reg cab, short bed, 2wd, Z24, 5-speed. It had the nicer black and grey interior with console (no gauge pack),woodgrain on the dash, short arm rests, A/C, intermittent wipers, air-conditioning, bench seat, carpet, and retractable under-hood work lamp. No power steering or sunroof though. I owned it for nearly 15 years.....up until a month ago when I finally gave-in and sold it to a buddy of mine who had been hounding me about it since I first got it. It had 298,000 miles when I finally sold it and it was still running as strong as ever....it would even chirp the tires when you grabbed 3rd gear. I dropped it with the quick and dirty bars and blocks style drop.....only the 2.5" blocks in the rear, so it still had a slight rake to the stance unloaded. I ran a set of chrome Pathfinder wheels on it for most of its life. Here is a shot when I first got it....even before I dropped it. 1983 Nissan 720 by whoiskennyhoward, on Flickr Briggs and Stratton powered. ;-) Nissan Z power . . . . .by Briggs & Stratton by whoiskennyhoward, on Flickr I love the '83 only badges. _chiefjt
Wow. That trucks tight. lol It has a nice Ratsun patina to it. ^_^ I have a set of '83 badges as well I found at my junkyard but they need to be restored. The paint is wiping away and the chrome is peeling. Quote Link to comment
