finney
how did it go and handle? Quote Link to comment
konig209
Didnt go so well. Ran out of gas. Was a lil too excited. The power is insane. Handle i still need to shave the bed a little more so the tire doesnt rub. It was just a rough cruise for me. But it felt amazing. Almost a year without driving it. My goal was reached before new years and well just felt good to drive it once again. Quote Link to comment
wayno
For future reference, the 320 rearend housings/axles are 3 or 4 inches narrower, that way one can put wider tires on it and not have them sticking out or have to trim the rear fenders, especially when you 3 or 4 link it. But the axles are not as big, more like a car than a truck axle. 2 Quote Link to comment
konig209
Yes i know thanks wayno. But it would look funny with a narrow rear end and a wide front. All 4 wheels are x11 but thanks for the input. 2 Quote Link to comment
greenthumb
What is your plan for an engine cooling fan? I can't see how I could run a puller fan(s) on mine without hacking the rad support to move the rad forward. Pusher fan is also an option I spose, but not as efficient as a puller, and again, more hacking required. What are the dimensions on that rad? 1 Quote Link to comment
konig209
Im going to borrow a friend flexalite slim fans. They are the thinnest set of fans. Only issue is they cost about $450 bucks. If that fails im going to run push and just say fuck it. As for dimentions. crossflow design. 3 row. 25" wide x 16" tall 1 Quote Link to comment
greenthumb
thanks for the measurements. Keep us updated how you make out with those slimline fans. Did you cut the rad support to a widr opening to squeeze the rad in? 1 Quote Link to comment

I'm running a pusher fan on my truck and it does not get over 185 degrees period. At idle in the hot summer even. 1 Quote Link to comment
greenthumb
trolling the all knowing interwebs I suppose. My son has twin small pushers on his KA 510, and his experience is the same as yours. Works fine. In the end, that will probably be the route I go as well. You remember the diameter of your pusher Ray? 2 Quote Link to comment
datson4life
Pusher is the way to go on the 521. Maybe a 10-12 inch. Puller would involve 2 small diameter fans to clear the fan pulley on ka. Other than the hard suspension this truck is very fun. And this ka decided to act better in this truck. Bag it! 2 Quote Link to comment

You remember the diameter of your pusher Ray? I think it's a 12". I cut the front nice and clean and pulled the support out and boom baby in business. Plus it's so much cleaner to looking in to the engine bay. It helps with what I got under my hood, lord knows I need all the help. 1 Quote Link to comment

Not just a KA FJ L the pulley comes to close to the center line of the radiator. 1 Quote Link to comment
