BlackBird620
If I get the Kc I'm going to be pulling the motor and trans out for it then rebuild the front with a tube frame might go v8 or diesel 1 Quote Link to comment
GRpufnstuf
Go diesel! What diesel though? Duramax or cummins? Lol I've been thinking hard about a TDI+acme adapter+Toyota 5 spd Similar HP to a KA and gobs of torque (when compared to other 4cyl). I had a TDI golf for a couple years and it drove great Quote Link to comment

GRpufnstuf
I've looked at the 4bt. It's easy to find old bread trucks with good enigines. But they are pretty heavy. Supposedly the TDI isn't the good engine to swap, finicky diesel injection. Or if you do use TDI you replace the injection with and older mechanical unit. The late '90s Turbo Diesel VW is the way all the Samurai and Toyota guys seem to go. Harder to find though. Quote Link to comment
JuicyRed
Awesome truck keep thread up to date! Quote Link to comment

GRpufnstuf
Wow! That's crazy rpm for any diesel. Except maybe Audi and Peugeot LeMans cars, Quote Link to comment
JNHEscher
I've seen some Toyota 1kz diesels drag race really well, but that is badass. Quote Link to comment
BlackBird620
The older diesels and cummins actually rev like a car with the right mods just make tons more power and torque Quote Link to comment
