dotdat
Am remounting the fuel tank in my '74 - 620. I cut the hoses to quickly remove the tank. No problem there. I spliced them back to the correct hose by using a one inch long metal tube. and clamps. The three rubber tubes that head upward to the fuel tank baffle me. One connects to the filler pipe near the gas cap, but the other two head into a metal box of some sort. Can these be eliminated ?? I suspect they have something to do with an early emmissions control method. What say you? I spent a lot of time cleaning and coating the tank interior with POR15 fuel tank stuff. That shit is tough and looks like it'll do the job. Quote Link to comment
dotdat
I found the answer in the factory 1974 Datsun Pick-up Service Manuel. It's all part of the Evaporative Emission Control System. Nice diagrams to go with the explanation. Quote Link to comment
