Old Datsun Pickup 1971 NICE 521 - $3500 (Myrtle creek, Or) http://eugene.craigslist.org/cto/4542131616.html 1971 Datsun 521 paint color : brownsize : compact type : pickupdrive : rwd fuel : gastransmission : manual title status : clean This is a very nice, clean, good running 1971 model 521 Datsun pickup truck.....This little truck has been used by me for dump runs and short errands for 5 years and it runs great....The 521 is the best of the vintage Datsun trucks...the earlier models were cramped and didn't have enough power to get out of their own way!, this generation of truck (71 is the last year) had more power (still not much), but has the cleaner body style and is the most desireable as a collector....This would make an easy restoration or father-son project......The engine has been upgraded to a 74' model 620 engine, so it has a bit more power than the original and is a more reliable engine (approx 40,000 mile on engine)....4-speed transmission (of course) is in great shape as is all the glass and body is very presentable as-is, but not perfect, not a "show" truck by any means (not yet!).....there are some rust spots on the tailgate, but can be replaced....newer paint, powder-coated wheels and new tires....just a good looking little truck that I get compliments on every time I take it out....inside is pretty clean, but spartan, nothing fancy here...one small rip in seat on drivers side...the custom fitted tool box goes with the truck.....first close cash offer drives it home.......respond to this ad, or call me at the contact phone number located in the contact box on this post....Thank You Quote Link to comment

Plus the wheels arent' even flush with the flares to boot. Not bad though. It might be a little better than a basket case - doesn't run but looks reasonably solid and straight, interior needs work, hatch is rusty, area around windshield is rusty, not sure about frame or floors, hood was replaced. The interior has that all to familiar musty smell, so I'd say there is a decent chance the floors might be weak. The guy said he has a clean title and the price was $2k but he's open to offers.
